This story prompt activity asks students to imagine stumbling upon a pirate's treasure chest on the beach. They open it up to find a scroll and have to describe what's on the scroll and why it's more valuable than gold. Then, another prompt alerts them to a one-eyed pirate who is racing towards them on the beach. They have to finish the story by describing what they would do. This activity gives students creative writing practice. Other specific skills, like using direct and indirect objects, can also be integrated into this activity.
