The subtraction hotline is ringing off the hook! Sully Sloth, Norbert the narwhal, Squishy the octopus, Tinasaurus, and Ginazilla were all scrambling with subtractions. Read the clues and help them solve the problems!

When subtracting numbers up to 1000, first, write the biggest number on top and the smaller number under it, lining up the digits in the hundreds, tens, and ones places. Start subtracting from the right, with the ones place, and move left to the tens and hundreds places. If the top number is smaller than the bottom one in any place, you might need to "borrow" from the next left column. For example, if you can't subtract 7 from 4, you borrow 1 from the tens column, making it 14. Remember to subtract what you borrowed from! Just take your time, remember it's okay to erase it and try again if necessary. You'll get the hang of it with practice!
