Everyone is making videos. There are videos by the millions on the internet. It is so easy to produce and share a video now that anyone can take a shot at being a movie producer.
Making and sharing videos this easily has only been possible since 2005. That is when the video hosting website, You Tube, began.
On You Tube anyone can watch or broadcast videos for free. Go to You Tube's home page, and you can browse through featured videos or search for particular videos by keywords. Set up a free account, and you can post videos for others to watch. You can also read tips about producing videos including details about camera angles, lighting, sound, and special effects.
So many people have made use of You Tube that it has become one of the largest websites in the world. Many of these are individual people, but huge companies like the CBS television network and Universal Music Group also post videos on You Tube.
A quick look at You Tube will show you that it offers a wide variety of videos. There is everything from a young DJ trying out his first video to an ABC news report on global warming.
