"This sure is tasty," Rita said to Aunt Becky as she sipped a sample of punch that her aunt was preparing for the baby shower.
"Is it too sweet?" Aunt Becky asked with concern in her voice.
Rita took another sip. "I don't think so. I think you have the mixture just right."
Aunt Becky continued to stir the punch. She had mixed fruit juice, ginger ale, some sugar, and some chunks of fruit in a large bowl. In an hour or so, guests would start arriving for Rita's sister's baby shower. She wanted everything--including the punch--to be perfect.
Rita asked for another small cupful of punch. As Aunt Becky poured it, Rita said, "I wonder when people first started making punch."
