They may work in health clubs or gyms. Athletic trainers might work for large companies. Athletic trainers can also be found in the military. Some work with performing arts groups. Many athletic trainers work in sports medicine clinics. They see a range of people of different ages and abilities.


Job Duties: Athletic trainers may teach classes. A trainer might educate students about proper exercise habits. A trainer might set up a workout room for employees. In factories, a trainer might train workers in the best way to do their jobs to prevent injuries. Trainers collect data and recommend exercises. Trainers look after athletes during the playing season. They help condition or rehabilitate injured athletes during the off-season.
