What Is a Force?
When you want to put a box under your bed, what do you do? You may push it under there. When you pull on a wagon's handle, the wagon moves toward you. You use pushes and pulls to move things.
A push or a pull is a force. A push moves an object away from you. A pull brings it closer.
A force can make things move. Pushing a toy car starts its motion.
