What Causes Monsoons?

Some places don't have spring, summer, fall, and winter like our seasons. Some places have monsoons. The monsoons bring a wet season and a dry season.

Monsoons are seasonal winds. Parts of Asia have strong monsoons. In winter, air over the land of Asia is colder than the air over the ocean. Warmer air over the ocean rises. Cooler air over the land moves out to take its place. In winter, the monsoon blows cool, dry air over land toward the ocean.
