Val Is Visual, Part 2

Val saw Mr. Ellis in the hall before school. "Hi, Mr. Ellis," he said. "Can I have a pass to the learning center for third period? I have a study hall. I was hoping you could help me with some more study tips for my visual learning style."

"Sure, Val, come on down," Mr. Ellis said as he wrote out the pass. "I'll be happy to help you."

Val could hardly wait for third period. He had tried some of the tips Mr. Ellis had already given him. They seemed to be working. It was as if it was all starting to click in his brain.

Finally, the second period bell rang. Val bolted for the learning center. Mr. Ellis greeted him at the door. He showed Val some charts on the wall. "The first one is for visual learners like you," he told Val. "Look over it, and then we can talk about some of the things that are on there."

Val started reading the chart. Some of the things on there were things he had already been doing. He had started taking notes and drawing pictures during lectures. He had also been trying to see the action in his head as his teacher told a story in history class.
