Jasmine liked drama class. She went every Thursday afternoon to the local children's theater. They did short skits, learned acting skills, and learned about great writers of plays.
Today was April 17, and the teacher told them about a writer named Thornton Wilder.
"Kids," said Mrs. Thedle, "today we will learn some facts about a great playwright named Thornton Wilder. We will be assisting the adults who will be performing his best-known play, Our Town. I'd like you to learn a little more about him since today was his birthday!"
Mrs. Thedle turned on the projector. She showed a list of facts. She revealed each fact one by one.
