National TV Turn-Off Week

Reading Comprehension for April 24

Adam and Ava were bored. They did not have anything to do. Their father and mother told them they could not watch TV.

"This is National TV Turn-Off Week," their parents said. "No TV this week."

Adam and Ava did not know what to do. They sat at the table. They sat on their beds. They sat on the porch. They were really bored!

It was too chilly to go to the pool. It was too far to go to the park. There was no snow. There was nothing to do.

"Mom," Adam said, "can't we watch TV for just a little bit?"

"We are so bored," Ava said. "There is nothing to do."

"Go up into the attic," their mother said. "See if you can find something to do there."

Adam and Ava climbed the ladder. They opened the attic door. It was very dark up there. Ava went in first. She turned on a light.

The children looked for something to do. They did not see anything. There were just some old boxes. There were some old clothes. There was an old chair and an old bed. There was nothing to do.
