The Purloined Web Page, Part 2

After someone posted embarrassing pictures of Josh online, his dad had told him to say nothing to or about the person he believed had embarrassed him.

"Won't that make me look weak in front of everyone?" asked Josh.

Dad shook his head. "It will only matter to people who like trouble. The ones who count will think you are levelheaded and wise. It takes character to do the right thing, and I think this is it."

Josh thought it was good advice and decided to act on it. When he saw a couple of friends the next day, they asked about the site.

"We heard someone messed up your My Place site," said Andy.

"Do you have any idea who it was?" asked Brian.

"Ideas, but no proof," said Josh.

"I'll bet I know who did it," said Andy.

"I do, too," said Brian.

"I'd rather you didn't say," said Josh. "It's not like he'd admit to it, and I don't want to give him any satisfaction if I can avoid it."

"I think it was a rotten trick, especially on someone who was a friend," said Brian.

Josh's path did not cross with Jason's for the next week. News of the site modifications spread like wildfire among the student body at school.
