Mrs. Sense pulled her car into the garage. It felt good to be home after a hard day of work. It was her birthday, and she was ready to relax! She hoped that her children had done their homework. Maybe they had also done chores! Either way, she was eager to hug them. She opened the door to the house and got a surprise. No one was waiting for her on the inside!
How strange! Andy and Megan always ran to greet her. Where were they? Where was Ms. Chiff, the babysitter?
"I'm home!" Mrs. Sense called. Then she listened. What was that? Did she hear a giggle? Did she hear a "shhhh" sound? Why didn't someone answer her call?
