The King of Clouds
You walk outside and look at the sky. You notice a very tall cloud. It rises tall in the air like a tower or a skyscraper. It is flat at the bottom. The top is shaped like an anvil. You wonder: what is this cloud, and what kind of weather will it bring?
Clouds that rise tall in the air are cumulonimbus clouds. Sometimes they have anvil-shaped tops. This kind of cloud is often called a thunderhead. You might say it is the king of clouds.
