Dinosaurs had fascinated Fletcher Lindahl all his life. As a child he had read Danny and the Dinosaur by Syd Hoff. He had wished that he could be like Danny and play with a real live dinosaur! He read If the Dinosaurs Came Back by Bernard Most and dreamed of a world where dinosaurs roamed free and helped people. However, those were children's stories. Fletcher was an adult now. He preferred facts over fiction about dinosaurs.
Of all the ways Fletcher could study dinosaurs, his favorite was to surf the Internet for new information. He bought books and magazines, but the quickest way to find newly discovered facts was to sit at his computer and go online. There he might find recent newspaper articles, a scientist's research site, or a dino fan's newsletter.
Fletcher sipped his coffee and then set it away from his keyboard. The sun had set, and he had washed and put away his supper dishes. Now with those distractions out of the way, he could immerse himself in his favorite pastime for a few hours before bedtime.
