Springtime - Outdoors, Here We Come!
Brr! It is cold outside. Are you looking forward to spring? The season after winter is spring. Springtime means warmer weather. The Earth is tilted on its axis. This causes the Earth's seasons. During part of the year, the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun. It is summer. At the same time, the southern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. There it is winter. As the Earth orbits the sun, the focus of the sun's energy shifts from one hemisphere to the other. As winter in the northern hemisphere comes to an end, days slowly get longer.
