Shopping for a Bank
You're going shopping today! Shopping for a bank, that is. Aren't they all alike? The answer is NO!
Just as you would shop for shoes or clothes, you must shop around for a bank. And just like shoes and clothes, your bank has to "fit" you perfectly. So, what do you look for in a bank?
First of all, think of what you want to do at your bank. Will you open a checking account, a savings account, or both? Do you need a loan to buy a new car? Most banks can help you with all these needs, but each bank will handle them differently.
Let's look at checking accounts. You will probably want to write checks to pay your bills. This is probably the most important thing your bank will do for you. You will need to ask some questions before you open an account.
