Polly Horvath--Everything on a Waffle?
What is your favorite breakfast food? Some people may say cereal. Some people may say bacon and eggs. Some people might say waffles. Waffles come with many toppings. Some toppings are fruity. Some toppings are sweet. In Everything on a Waffle, just about anything comes on top.
Everything on a Waffle is about an eleven-year-old girl. Her name is Primrose Squarp. She lives in a Canadian fishing village with her parents. A typhoon hits her village. Her parents disappear. Primrose refuses to believe her parents are dead. Primrose's life changes after that. She is passed around from home to home. There is only one thing that stays the same. It is a restaurant where each menu item is served on a waffle. The owner teaches her how to cook.
Primrose is sent to live with an older couple. She likes the couple but starts having accidents. People in the town become curious about Primrose. Through all of this, she never gives up hope in finding her parents. She wants to be part of a normal family again.
