"Students," Ms. Miller said, "June 4 is a very special day this year."
"Why is it special?" Dean asked. "Is it your birthday?"
"No, it is not my birthday," Ms. Miller said. "It is National Cancer Survivors Day."
"What is cancer?" Brenda asked.
"What's a survivor?" Bobbi asked.
"Mrs. Adams is coming to our class today," Ms. Miller said. "She will talk to you about Cancer Survivors Day."
"Is Mrs. Adams the fourth grade teacher?" Jonnie asked.
"Yes, she is, and she is a cancer survivor," their teacher said.
