A pet bird sounds like an easy pet. It lives in a cage and doesn't need a lot of attention. This isn't true. Some birds are very social creatures. They want and need a lot of attention to be happy and healthy. Birds can also live a very long time. Some will live up to eighty years. You have to be sure you want a pet for this long.
