Paying Bills Online
The Internet is a wonderful thing. You can even pay your bills online. This saves you time and money. Just think - no more writing checks, going to the post office, or buying stamps. But there are some things you have to be careful about when paying bills online.
First, you need to go to the correct website. You should have a username and a log-in code or password. You should try to remember these for each website you use to pay bills. If you have trouble remembering, you can write them down, but keep them in a safe place. Always try to pay online bills from your home computer. Don't use computers that a lot of other people use, such as those at a library.
Make sure the website is secure. This means that no one should be able to hack into it and see your personal information. To make sure the site is secure, look at the web address on your browser. It should say "https," not just "http," at the beginning. The "s" means it is secure.
