Mutiny!

Taking a really long trip can be a chore. There are many hours of being stuck in a car or airplane with people who get on your nerves. You start to wonder how much longer before you get there. Sometimes long trips are enough to drive someone crazy!


There was a famous trip in the late 1780s that ended very badly for a lot of people aboard a British ship, the H.M.S. Bounty. The trip ended with some sailors being kicked off the ship, the ship being burned, and some members of the ship's crew being executed.


The Bounty and its small crew sailed from England to Tahiti to collect breadfruit plants. It was a simple task, but the sailing took almost a full year.
