Mr. Pool and the Hot Tub Mystery
Bald, timid Mr. Pool was not a social person. He had two great interests in life, and fortunately for him, he could do these things alone. He loved making movies with his video camera. He also loved soaking in his hot tub. These two hobbies took up much of his spare time.
Mr. Pool liked to go places and capture exciting moments on film. These adventures made him feel bold even though he was a shy man. After a fun-filled day of shooting videos, he would lower his thin, aching body into his hot tub and relax in its bubbling waters. After his soak, he would watch videos and eat large slices of pepperoni pizza.
On one cool March day, Mr. Pool went for a hike and took his camera with him. He hiked up a quiet mountain trail. He felt like an explorer! He tiptoed through slushy puddles in a deep pine forest. He visited a beautiful mountain lake with ice that stretched across it like a shiny sheet of Saran wrap. He breathed the fresh tangy air. He videoed the nervous gray squirrels as they ran around and around the tree trunks. By the end of the day, he had a great collection of videos. He decided to take a dip in his hot tub to celebrate his stunning cinematographic skill!
