Mira Star fell from the sky. She came far from her home in space. She landed with a flash of light! Her star form changed. She became a being with arms and legs. A red dress covered her torso. Long, dark red hair hung in twists down her back. Mira admired the changes.
Never before had the red star left her friend, the white dwarf star. She had never visited a planet until now. This was so exciting! There was so much to take in! She needed to calm down. Her heart pounded in her chest. She folded her legs and sank gently down. She sat on a grassy hillside above a vineyard. The shade of a nearby oak stretched out to shelter Mira from the morning sun's rays.
"What should I do first?" she asked herself. "It is all so new to me! I want to explore it all!"
She closed her eyes and ran her hands over the grass. It was cool and tickled her palms. She felt a soft, warm breeze caress her face. She sighed happily.
A bird chirped, and another bird answered. Then they seemed to sing together. Mira wanted to sing with them, but her star song would have startled the birds. Other sounds followed. The breeze rustled the tree's leaves. Bees hummed as they visited a clover patch.
