Meet Ankylosaurus
This dinosaur had bony plates that covered most of its body. The plates are called scutes (say: SKOOTS). Its belly didn't have plates.
It walked on four feet. Its body was low and wide. It was built like a tank!
It had small, spiky horns on the sides of its head. It had rows of spikes down the sides of its body. It had a bony club at the end of its tail. If attacked, it used the club to hit at other dinosaurs.
