Miss Hand had a house. It was yellow with a blue door. Orange flowers bloomed in the garden. The yellow house sat between two white houses. One house had a red door. A girl named Maria lived there. She had a little dog called Max. The other house had a green door. Gwen lived there with a pup called Alfie. Miss Hand saw the girls every day.
Both girls walked their dogs. Maria used a leash. She scooped and bagged Max's dog poo. Gwen let Alfie run free. He left poo in other yards. He dug in Miss Hand's garden.
One day Maria was late for class. She ran on the sidewalk. Then Gwen was late. She ran across the other yards.
