Did you know that when a baby red kangaroo is born it is as small as a lima bean? Even though he is tiny, this joey has a big job to do. He must make his way up to his mother's pouch all by himself. After climbing up to his cozy new home, the baby kangaroo will stay in his mother's pouch. He will be carried by his mother until he is at least six months old.
