Little Bear loved his mother's soup.
She made it on very cold days. She made it on just cold days, too. Sometimes she even made it on chilly days.
The soup had meat in it.
The soup had tomatoes in it.
The soup had onions in it.
The soup had beans in it.
Sometimes there were red beans.
Sometimes there were black beans.
Sometimes there were brown beans.
The soup was soooooooooooo good!
On the first day of November, Little Bear said, "Mother, please make some soup. It is cold today."
"Oh, that is a good idea, Little Bear," his mother said. "I will build a fire outside and we will make soup."
Little Bear gathered up sticks.
His mother made a fire.
