Many holidays are a lot of fun. Christmas is a day of excitement and many gifts. Thanksgiving is a day of gratitude and food. New Year's Eve is a night of happiness and noise. In the middle of summer, Independence Day is a day of pride and fireworks.
For many years, America's Independence Day has been celebrated with fireworks displays. Cities all over the country set off thousands of enormous, loud, and colorful fireworks. They are one of the highlights of the holiday. Many people also have their own fireworks displays. They set off fireworks in their own backyards. These kinds of fireworks are very pretty. They are more fun than big fireworks!
Even though they're pretty, fireworks are very dangerous. It's important to be extremely careful with fireworks. Even fireworks that seem harmless can cause a lot of harm.
