Davey Barr, Ski Cross
What do you get when you cross alpine and freestyle skiing with snowboarding? You get ski cross (a new Olympic sport for 2010) and Davey Barr (a new star)!
Davey was born in Whistler, British Columbia, in 1977. Growing up around mountains of snow with skis everywhere in the winter months makes it no wonder that Davey took to skiing.
By the time Davey was ten, he was already racing in downhill events. It wasn't long afterwards that he began to travel abroad to compete as a junior racer.
