Choose Your Own Ending
Have you ever read one of those mystery stories where you can choose your own ending? This story is something like that - you get to choose your own ending. The only difference is that this is not really a mystery story. It is a realistic story about events that happen every day.
It starts out with Mattie on the school bus - fuming.
You can almost see the steam coming out of Mattie's ears. "I'm so mad! I hate how things can change so fast! I had a great weekend planned. Mom said Caroline could come for a sleepover. We could go to the mall and hang out on Saturday. That's what we always like to do. But noooo! When I called Caroline from the bus stop, all she could say was, 'Well, I sort of already have plans. I'm going to a sleepover at Funland with Bianca.' I thought Caroline was MY friend. I'm so mad!!"
