Tim loved his new bike. It was blue and silver. It had big wheels. It had a high seat. It was just like his brother's bike. It was a big boy's bike.
Tim got on his new bike. He started down the sidewalk. Uh-oh! He hit a rock. The bike ran into the grass. Tim fell over and hit his arm on the bike fender. His arm began to bleed.
Tim found his mother and told her about the bike ride. He told her he hated his new bike. She washed his arm and put a Band-Aid on the boo-boo. She told him to try again and smiled at him. Tim felt better.
Tim went back outside. He picked up his new bike and pushed it to the sidewalk. He got back on and began to pedal. All of a sudden the bike started down a hill. It went faster and faster. Tim forgot how to make it stop. It ran into a tree, and Tim fell off. He skinned his knees on the sidewalk. This time it hurt really badly. He cried a little bit.
Tim found his mother and told her about the mean old tree. He told her he hated his new bike. She washed his knees and put Band-Aids on the boo-boos. She told him to try again and smiled at him. Tim felt better.
