In the early light of dawn, five figures were slowly making their way around the perimeter of the arena. Sandy, Terry, and Martin followed Mrs. Mac and a man they didn't know. Terry directed them to a place along the fence. There, in a corner between the post and the board, was a small tubular object. It had once been darkly colored but was now spray-painted white. The man carried a camera bag and a small kit. He began taking pictures and then snapped on some latex gloves.
Martin nudged Sandy and Terry. Then he whispered, "This is just like C.S.I."
The man removed the loosely held rocket and dropped it into a labeled bag. By the time they had found all the bottle rockets, an hour had passed. He immediately left to get them tested for finger prints.
"Mrs. Mac," asked Terry, "won't Danny and Ross know something is up when they see the rockets are gone?"
"Yes, I'm sure they will. Do you have a solution?" she asked.
