He earned a degree in history. After college, he moved to Nashville. He worked for Billboard magazine. It is a music magazine.
Jimmy Buffett always liked music. In Nashville, he became a country singer. In 1970, he recorded his first album. Jimmy would often play in public places. Tickets were not sold. Listeners put money in a jar or his guitar case. He did this so that people would get to know his music.
