Time has been measured in many different ways through history. It was mostly measured in lunar cycles and also by passing seasons and the movement of the stars and planets in the sky. The more developed a culture became technologically, the more it depended on more specific divisions of time- days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
We have all heard the expression "time is money," but have you ever wondered what time really is? Is time money? Can we see time measured with dollars and cents? Is time even measured by our modern clocks and calendars? Some people say it is not. They even tell us that there is a day out of time-July 25.
You might say that's ludicrous, or you might take time to think about it and see if it is true. It might partly depend upon how you were raised and the beliefs of your culture.
