Anna, Andrew, Alexis, Sydney, Mackenzie, and Joshua are each making large bouquets for their parents. Each of their arrangements combines tulips and roses. They paid ninety-seven cents for each tulip and $2.08 for each rose.

Figure out how many tulips and how many roses are in each of their arrangements.


1.    Anna spent $38.96 on her arrangement.

2.    Mackenzie wanted her arrangement to be 71.4% roses. She used 6 tulips in her arrangement.

3.    Anna wanted her arrangement to contain 34.8% tulips.

4.    Joshua bought three more tulips and ten more roses than Andrew. Together, the two of them spent a total of $61.97 on their bouquets.

5.    Sydney bought six more tulips and ninety-six more roses than Alexis. Together, the two of them spent a total of $227.68 on their bouquets.
