Correcting Run-on Sentences
A run-on sentence is a sentence that runs into another sentence. Two or more parts of a run-on sentence can stand by itself. Interestingly, run-on sentences can exist in both short and long sentences. The length of a sentence does not determine whether that sentence is a run-on sentence!

run-on   My dad has a car it is red.
correct   My dad has a car. It is red.
    
Correct each run-on sentence.
1.  Jill is tired she worked all day.
2.  I took a bath then I went to bed.
3.  The nine boys went to the fort today they also went to the movies.
4.  I have a cat her name is Fluffy.
5.  We wanted to fly a kite it was too windy.
6.  It started to rain we ran into our house.
