Hundreds Chart Worksheets
Counting to one hundred is a basic math skill, and these worksheets teach this skill in a variety of innovative ways, from filling in charts to completing sequences. Common Core standards state that students in prekindergarten through second grade should "use multiple models to develop initial understandings of place value and the base-ten number system."
The hundreds chart is one of these models and is one of the most valuable. A hundreds chart is simply a 10x10 grid of squares with the numbers one through one hundred printed in the squares. Making hundreds charts available to your students in the classroom can be done in a variety of ways, such as individual laminated copies or paper copies glued inside a student's notebook. You can also provide a poster-sized hundreds chart to be used by the whole class.

How Do You Use a Hundreds Chart?
The goal of a hundreds chart is to give students a framework for thinking about the base-ten number system and an accessible way to build a mental model of the mathematical structure of our number system. They can be used to help children with concepts from counting to adding two-digit numbers to rounding numbers.
A hundreds chart is an extremely useful tool for speeding up math comprehension and basic number sense. It can be used in a variety of ways to help students practice addition and subtraction skills, build number literacy, learn skip counting and rounding, and much more. Having a hundreds chart on hand is a valuable resource for teachers who are introducing basic math facts to their students.
The layout of a hundreds chart aids in learning to count to one hundred and later to count by tens. A hundreds chart can also be used to help students with addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and rounding numbers.
