Draw a picture of Billy, Steve, and Peter standing next to each other. Use the description given in chapter twelve to help make an accurate illustration of the three characters.
What does the phrase "give it time" mean?
Have you ever had to give up something you loved? Tell about that time. If you haven't had to give something up, then tell how you would react to Peter's situation.
Peter's story has to be written using short sentences. As Peter evaluates his own writing how will he determine whether or not he is meeting his teacher's requirement? How can he tell the difference between run-on sentences and fragmented sentences?
Jenny knew a secret, and she shared it with Peter. Are you good at keeping secrets? Someone tells you a secret and asks you not to tell anybody under any circumstances. Do you believe that there are some secrets that shouldn't be kept no matter what you promise?
