Parvana uses a lot of words that are not in the English language. Keep a dictionary of all the unfamiliar words with a definition, part of speech, and example sentence.
The farmer who the children met on the road was very unfriendly. Explain why he wasn't nicer to the children.
Asif finally told Parvana about his life before they met when they found the burned out orchard. Explain why Asif finally told Parvana about his life with his uncle.
Asif's uncle was very cruel to him. Describe your life if you had to go and live with an aunt or uncle.
