Kate was glad Zeke was hurt. During the surgery she even caught herself having two fantasies about Zeke. Describe them and explain what effect this type of thinking had on Kate.
Jesse could never understand why Kate, who was old enough to drive, shied away from driving the family car. Explore the reasons why you think Kate did not want to drive.
When Kate heard that Zeke was to stay with them another eight weeks, she was dismayed and asked herself if Doc was keeping Zeke there on purpose. Why would she suspect that to be Doc's motive, and what could be gained from Zeke's staying?
