The sheep knew that the dogs and men trying to take them were rustlers and not Farmer Hogget. Explain why they were following the directions of the dogs and going to get on the truck.
The rustlers didn't want to make a lot of noise. Explain why this was so important to them.
Babe decided to try to talk to the sheep in spite of Fly telling him that sheep were stupid to get them to save themselves. Describe what happened after Babe spoke to the sheep.
When Fly tried to herd the sheep, they refused to do what she told them to do. Compare/contrast the way Babe treated the sheep to the way Fly treated the sheep.
Some of the sheep laughed at Babe when he told them he wanted to be a sheep-pig. Tell about a time someone laughed at something you wanted to do.
Fly thinks that sheep are stupid, but Babe believes that if he talks to them politely, he can get them to do what he needs them to do. Tell about a time someone tried to make you do something politely or impolitely, and what the difference was in your reaction.
