³     "Me, too," added Tess.
 
⁴     "I love a parade!" said Wendy as they walked toward town. "I don't want to miss a single minute."
 
⁵     "I think I can hear a band already," said Tess.
 
⁶     "And there's a fire truck," Tim pointed out.
 
⁷     "My mom says this holiday is different from other holidays we have," explained Wendy.
 
⁸     "Yep," said Tim. "This holiday means that summer is really over."
 
⁹     "What is labor, anyway?" asked Tess. "And why does it have a special day?"
