Once there was a boy named Owen. He was eleven years old. He was also an only child. He loved his mom and opened doors for her. He picked up his toys from the floor to show his daddy that he loved him. He wished for brothers, but he had none. There was only Owen.
Owen was alone one day. That was boring. He would look for friends!
Down the road Owen went. He found a group of girls jumping rope. Oh no!
"Hi! My name is Rose. What's your name?" one girl asked. She was not jumping. The other girls stopped jumping. They all looked at Owen.
"I'm Owen." Owen looked away.
"How old are you, Owen?" Rose asked.
"I'm eleven," Owen said.
"Really? I'm ten, but soon I will be eleven just like you!" Rose said with a grin.
Owen shook with fear. "You're ten?" he asked.
