Keeping Your Yard Clean
By Cathy Pearl

1     Owning your own home is a very exciting thing. You'll want to take good care of it. If you don't take care of your house, it could become a big mess. One of the parts of your house that can quickly look messy is right outside your front door.

2     Mowing your lawn is an important job. It is one of the first things that people see when they stop at your house. You don't want people to have to walk in tall grass. That can make it hard to get to the front door. Keep the lawn short and neat.

3     Trash can also collect around your house. This is not just messy. It can be dangerous, too. Trash can invite wild animals to come to your house. These animals might be small, like mice. The animals could also be large, like bears.
