Getting Rid of Snow
By Cathy Pearl

1     Winter seems pretty to look at. At first the snow is pretty. But after there are several inches of it sitting in your driveway, it isn't so pretty anymore. Now you have to figure out a way to get rid of it. If you don't, your car will be stuck and you will never get to work.

2     The cheapest way to get rid of snow is to use a shovel. Shoveling snow is very hard work. If you have health problems, ask your doctor first if it is okay to do this job.

3     The only thing you need to get started clearing the driveway is a snow shovel. When you pick a shovel, make sure you pick one that is right for you. A small shovel picks up less snow so there is less stress on your body.

4     When you shovel snow, dress in a couple of different layers. This way if you get too hot from doing all that work, you can take a layer off. Be sure to warm up your muscles a little bit before you start. Walk in place and stretch your arms and legs.
