Four little bunnies lived under a green hill. They were called Willy, Tilly, Dilly, and Bud. They worked for their father in his Easter egg shop. Their father let them paint the eggs!
Willy, Tilly, and Dilly liked to color the eggs. Willy painted all his eggs blue and green. Tilly always put polka dots on her eggs. Dilly liked to use all the colors on her eggs. Her dad would smile and say, "That egg is a dilly, all right!"
Bud did not like to paint eggs. "Why can't we use plastic ones?" he asked. "They come in all colors. The store has some with swirls on them! You can hide candy inside them."
"Kids like real Easter eggs," said Willy.
"They can make egg salad with real eggs," said Tilly.
"I love to paint, but I can't paint on plastic!" said Dilly.
"I would rather play football," said Bud. "Do you want to see how far I can throw this egg?"
"No!" cried Willy.
"No!" cried Tilly.
